Skills Immigration - Entry Level and Semi-Skilled
Former BC PNP stream for workers in TEER 4 and 5 occupations in tourism and hospitality and food processing, and for entry-level workers living in the Northeast Development Region. It was the program's only route for lower-skilled occupations, and its closure leaves TEER 4 and 5 workers without a direct BC PNP pathway. Candidates registered in SIRS and were selected by invitation while the stream operated.
Closed
Officially closed: final invitations were issued December 10, 2024, and B.C. confirmed the closure in its April 23, 2026 restructuring. The stream no longer appears on the official Skills Immigration page (which now lists only Skilled Worker and Health Authority) and was removed from the May 28, 2026 Skills Immigration guides.
