Skilled Trades
Former Express Entry-linked OINP stream for candidates in the federal pool whose recent skilled-trades work experience was gained in Ontario. Ontario issued notifications of interest to selected candidates, and a nomination added 600 CRS points. Skilled trades workers are now covered by the Ontario Workforce Priority stream, where listed trades have lower language and education thresholds.
Closed
Closed in the 2026 OINP redesign: the stream was removed effective June 25, 2026 (announced June 26, 2026 on the official 2026 OINP updates page) and replaced by the Ontario Workforce Priority stream. No further invitations will be issued under it; applications already submitted after an invitation are assessed under the rules in effect at submission.
